Clippix ("we", "us", "our") turns your long videos into short, shareable clips. This Privacy Policy explains what we collect, why we collect it, and the choices you have. By using Clippix you agree to the practices described here.
1. Information we collect
Account information
When you create an account we collect your email address and, if you choose to add them, your display name and profile photo. If you sign in with Apple or Google, we receive the basic profile details that service shares with us.
Content you create
We store the videos you submit and the clips generated from them, along with related details such as titles, folders, and favourites, so your library is available across sessions.
Usage and device data
We collect limited technical information — app version, device type, and basic diagnostics — to keep the app reliable and to fix crashes.
2. How we use your information
- To create your account and let you sign in securely.
- To generate, store, and organise your clips.
- To operate your subscription and track your monthly usage allowance.
- To send the notifications you opt into (for example, when a clip is ready).
- To improve the app and prevent abuse.
We do not sell your personal information, and we never use your videos to train third-party advertising models.
3. Third-party services
To provide Clippix we share the minimum data needed with trusted providers:
- Vizard — processes your source videos to produce clips.
- Firebase — handles authentication and secure file storage.
- RevenueCat and the App Store — manage subscriptions and payments. We never see or store your full payment card details.
Each provider processes data under its own privacy terms and only for the purpose of running Clippix.
4. Data retention
We keep your account data for as long as your account is active. Source videos are kept only as long as needed to generate your clips and may be removed automatically afterwards. When you delete a clip or project, it is removed from your library.
5. Your rights and choices
- Access & export — you can view your content in the app at any time.
- Deletion — you can delete individual clips and projects, or your entire account, from Settings.
- Notifications — you control push notifications from Settings and your device.
Deleting your account removes your profile and library from our active systems.
6. Children
Clippix is not intended for anyone under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
7. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we make material changes we will update the date shown at the top and, where appropriate, notify you in the app.
